I currently have a buffalo linkstation quad and its speed for copying is quite slow.
I am looking to upgrade. Been reading the posts and still considering:
Some things to consider when buying a new 4 bay NAS
1) Amount of Gb Ethernet ports and can they be trunked/agregated? This means can have 2Gb instead of one if your PC or switch or router supports this also.
2) What kind of interfaces?
Hopefully USB 3 & eSata
3) Kind of CPU and # cores?
4) speed of transfer
5) kind of OS /GUI
Seems like there are several choices worth considering, according to the reviews. Synology, QNAP, etc
Any input is welcome.
